About this deal

Issue beret was a bit big… so I just got a standard cadet beret from rip off direct as I wanted something a tad smaller. The beret is made from 100% wool with a genuine leather headband and can be fitted and shaped to your requirements.

One of my sons bought me a blue silk-lined officer’s beret but he asked the supplier to sew the beret badge on. They are also used as presentations to serving soldiers for promotions, retirements or event awards. Uniform is issued to cadets on a temporary basis: it belongs to the Royal Air Force throughout the time that you loan it, which is until you hand it back in at the end of your cadet career, or when you outgrow it. To iron the jumper you need to turn the temperature down on your iron and lightly run over it the jumpers surface to remove any bad creases. If your jumper starts to get ‘fluffy’ due to washing, then remove the fluff with a razor (taking care not to rip the jumper) or a de-fuzzer.

We can also include blank plates on the back and sides of the mahogany base to make a perpetual trophy.

The beret looks and feels good and shaped really easily; and the badge has no backing but is very neatly sewn. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Place the tape around your head with the tape just above the top of your ears, wrap the tape around head making sure the tape lies just above your occipital bone (the small bump in the middle of the back of the head), do not pull the tape too tightly. uniform the sleeves need to be folded up to above the elbows, with each fold roughly two inches wide.

Welts should be free of dust, and the shoe must not be ‘cross laced’ Female shoes should be bulled at the front of the shoe and polished to a good shine on the body.

I have two berets myself, a silk one with sewn badge, but it doesn’t fit my hair if I don’t get my hair cut dead on every four weeks. You would need the cardboard backing bit out of a standard beret and you have to open the lining and cut some holes to get the badge in.Take the brush you are going to use to put the polish on, and dip it into the polish, then rub this all over the shoe so that the shoe goes a dull matt black. In between each hot and cold cycle put the beret on your head, holding the badge and pulling the excess material towards your right ear. Use a steam iron and press the trouser through a tea towel, this ensures the trousers do not turn shiny at the creases. Our approved All Arms (Ammo) small crown beret is made of 100% wool, banded with soft black leather with draw string and bow and comes with a mid-blue coloured silk lining. Responsibility lies with the cadet, not their parents, to keep uniform in a clean and serviceable manner!

Leave the polish on the shoe for a couple of minutes, while you repeat the process on your second shoe.Use hot water and put it onto the piece of cotton wool, remove all excess water, and put into the Kiwi polish until the cotton wool has a surface covered in Kiwi polish. Both your Working and Wedgwood blue shirts should be cleaned and well ironed at all times, with a single crease in the sleeves. Once you have a shine keep repeating the process, with new pieces of cotton wool, until your shoes are really shiny.
