I use them on my laptop (behind a DAC/Amp) and for those of you who are using them on a computer, you may be very interested in a free software called Equalizer APO along with the Peace plugin. It will give you a 13 band EQ where you can set the changes wherever and however you want. The most useful feature of this software is you can overlay the picture of the frequency response graph on top of the graph of the changes you are making. When done this way, you can achieve a highly accurate and complete correction of the colorization (see photo). Do note that if you do this, to not apply as much correction as you get closer to the high end because of the way the headphones behave with volume changes - you will want to only correct about 2/3 to 1/2 as much to give some room for these changes. It also boasts various input options, including PC-USB, coaxial, Bluetooth, and optical, making it versatile and accessible to many users. We thoroughly researched and analyzed the Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M DAC and found that it is an excellent choice for headphones with impedance ranging from 10 ohms to 600 ohms. Personally, I think the sound signature of the 880s is so different from the Amirons and the 770s that I would hesitate to compare them. However, I am sure that some people would identify some traits in the sound of the 770s and 880s as being similar and that the Amirons are the more different headphone of the three, but I am describing my subjective experience here and am not trying to be objective. By any measure, the 770 Pro 80s are very comfortable, good sounding headphones that represent very decent value for money.

A constant in the music industry - the DT 770 Pro Headphones are ideal for studio applications and home stereo systems. Thanks to the wide frequency response and exceptional audio fidelity, they allow you to record with confidence – you’re guaranteed to hear your mixes, masters, and edits in accurate detail. I like the 770s so much that this is my second pair. Even though I think my Amirons and 880s are better headphones, sonically speaking, I find that I now use the 770s most of all and I would hate to be without them. I find them particularly satisfying when listening to jazz, the Amirons more so with classical. In terms of sheer value for money the 770s make the Amirons look like more of an indulgence that an unequivocal game-changing improvement! And, I don’t feel I have to be so precious in the way I treat these headphones (which is ironic really, given the fact that the Amirons are distinctly more solidly built). The Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro headphones have a very distinct appearance. Its headbands are of basic steel with aluminum forks and a strong plastic cup. The earpads are easily removable hence replaceable as well.In 80 ohms one you can find high power amplifiers and achieves important bits of sound production. But the distortion behavior of these headphones is different. It’s also heavier in mass. CPU:AMD FX-9590 GPU: Sapphire R9 390X (Tri-X OC) MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth R2.0 (AM3+) RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X DDR3-1866 (2x8GB) This DAC comes equipped with various inputs, including PC-USB, coaxial, Bluetooth, and optical, providing multiple connectivity options for versatile use. Whether you're using a computer or a mobile device, the DacMagic 200M can easily integrate with your setup. SOUND: Overall very clear sound with wide stereo image. I find them especially good for rough mixes because of the wide stereo image. Bass is clear and tight, no mud and mush in the low end, which is exceptional at this price level. Mids are well defined and clear. Highs are very nice, but kind of soft, so you will want to take that into consideration while mixing. Most other headphones and monitors will sound brighter and crispier. I personally prefer the tamed highs on DT770, since they allow me to listen for longer, without as much ear fatigue. This is totally a personal preference though. Just so there is no confusion: you can hear all the highs properly (at least in my hearing range, which is up to 17.5 kHz).

The SPL can help determine how much power a pair of headphones use to produce a decibel of sound, so the higher the SPL, the more power it tends to require. Most headphones range from an SPL of 90 to 120 dB/mW. Most headphones over 100 dB/mW usually need an external DAC amplifier to produce ample volume. All in all these headphones are a great choice. You’ll love everything about these headphones. Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro has been people’s choice for quite a long time now. You’ll never question your judgment once you use it. It will take you to the music wonderland and make you forget everything else. There's only one Con, the curly cable, if you sit stationary in your mix position you're fine. But if you move a lot to access different gear, any head movement more than 30cm, will reposition the cable & it's weight strain. Do that all day, & you'll get tired & annoyed by that cable. So sit still haha and try to have the cable rest on something like your desktop/table when mixing/mastering. Letting the cable hang full weight on the headphone will cause fatigue during long sessions, but is inevitable in the vocal booth where one usually stands upright. Now, you can't improve certain things like sound stage or imaging this way - but if you were concerned about that there's a good chance this model wasn't your first choice because these are closed headphones and not the top of the line model offered by this company.

Overall, we found that the Creative Sound Blaster AE-7 is an excellent choice for those seeking a DAC amp that can deliver exceptional audio quality with flexibility and convenience. The downside to this DAC is that it has to be installed in a computer, unlike other DACs, so it requires a computer with Windows installed. However, for anyone that's looking for huge, thumping bass, you're going to want to look elsewhere. Because these headphones are primarily designed for Studio (or 'Pro') work, the sound profile is incredibly balanced. Don't take this to mean that the bass is weak per se, but it's definitely not going to rattle your ears off or anything. COMFORT: 10/10. The ear-pads are magic in my opinion. I can easily wear the headphones for hours without noticing them. And, you can't talk about the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio without talking about the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, which are, even according to the manufacturer itself, constructed identically. In terms of audio quality, the ARC Mk2 DAC supports up to 24-Bit / 96 kHz, ensuring you get high-quality sound. It also has multiple inputs, including USB (compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4, PS5), 3.5 mm, and optical connections, giving you the flexibility to connect to different devices. The ARC Mk2 DAC also has a microphone input but doesn't have a volume control for the microphone, which can be inconvenient for some.
