About this deal

I’ve only had the vacuum for three weeks, so time will tell if it’ll make a difference, but so far so good. Kärcher window vac: Our verdict The Karcher WV2 Premium Window Cleaner combines a spray bottle and wiper setup with a vacuum to keep windows clean and spotless. This Karcher product has a full two year Karcher Domestic use warranty. The warranty covers the machine for faulty or defective parts during the two year warranty period. This does not cover wear and tear and any consumable parts such as filters, brushes, high pressure hoses, trigger guns, lances, accessories or the result of commercial or industrial use that will result in the warranty being void and invalid. This battery-powered product comes with a narrow suction nozzle in addition to a spray bottle, a microfibre wiping cloth and detergent. The nozzle allows you to clean even lattice windows and display cabinets. Features

We judge how comfortable each window vac is to hold and empty. We also do this wearing Cambridge Simulation Gloves – a piece of kit that helps replicate the experience of users who suffer with limited hand movement. Interchangeable suction heads: Most window vacs come with a 280mm suction head as standard, but many include an additional smaller head for fiddly jobs such as leaded windows and front door panels. Pivoting suction heads can also help to get into awkward spots.Extendable pole: A few models on our list come with, or are compatible with, telescopic or multi-section poles to help you reach high windows and skylights without wobbling up a ladder. On the downside, a pole can make the vac hard to control, especially if it’s heavy.

The glass cleaner solution is really good. Pole set a bit fiddley but gives just enough reach for most of our glass. Resevoir capacity more than adequate. None of that would matter if the Karcher didn’t clean windows brilliantly – and that’s where it really excels. Suction is strong and efficient right across the nozzle, so you can clean and dry into the silicone seal around your windows. The finish is about as streak-free as a window vac can achieve, although you may want to give your glass a final buff with a dry kitchen towel.Featuring up to 25 minutes of runtime for its 3.7V Lithium-ion battery, the WV2 window cleaner has a cleaning performance of approximately 75 sq. m (25 windows).

LED charge indicator: Useful for revealing how much longer the battery will last before it needs a recharge. Suction power is excellent and you get oodles of extras in the box, including a smaller head and microfibre attachment. However, what pushes the Bosch behind the Karcher and Vileda in our list is its failure, reported by some users, to clean quite as well to the very edges of your windows.Cleaning extras: Many window vacs come with cleaning bottles, microfibre pads and even their own branded cleaning spray. While useful, these extras are unlikely to perform any better than the stuff you already have in your cleaning cupboard. It’s worth noting that it isn’t an essential cleaning appliance. It’s more of a handy add-on, as you can clean surfaces with spray and a cloth. But it did an effective job leaving areas streak-free, so it’s worth it if you’re looking for a simple way to keep on top of windows, mirrors and tiles. Rechargeable Battery – The rechargeable lithium-ion battery cleans up to 70 m on a single charge - that's up to 45 windows. The window cleaner has an exchangeable suction nozzle, letting it get to smaller areas and hard-to-reach places. Among its many included accessories are a smaller 170mm suction head for hard-to-reach areas and a microfibre attachment to spread detergent on your windows. There’s a built-in LED battery indicator and you can buy additional batteries so that you’ve always got a fully charged one ready to go.
