The start-up of Beautiful is typical Danielle Steel territory. Beautiful features a slow start and it is followed some rather information heavy prose. Unfortunately there is little exploration of a decent storyline. Beautiful had potential and I liked the message that Danielle Steel was trying to convey, but it just didn’t come across that well in my eyes. When she travels to Brussels with her mother, a tragedy ensues that changes her life forever. How can Veronique move on without all that she has held so dear all her life?

Yes, Danielle Steel does have a new book out, it is called Second Act. It was released on October 2 2023. Her next release will be The Ball at Versailles that will be released on November 21 2023. Is there a new Nora Roberts book out? People can have physical scars on the outside of their bodies, but do external scars make you less of a person? The best part about me being annoyed with the repetition is that I listened to the ABRIDGED version of this audiobook. This is all the repetition AFTER they have cut out half of the book! It's pretty standard for a DS book to be repetitive but this one takes the cake for me. There’s so much to be said about inner beauty and this story totally validates it. Beauty fades but character lasts forever. Veronique turned something horrific and tragic into self discovery and worth, from devastation to hope. Veronique is a world famous top model who has made an extremely successful career from being beautiful. She has been admired for her beauty her entire life and while she works hard, she also finds it exhausting. She is very close to her mother and didn't get to know her father as he died when she was a baby. Oh yes, and the completely random and unnecessary romance thrown in on the last paragraph so we can get some "romance" in the book. No chemistry between either character. Neither character was fleshed out at all. The main character we essentially know nothing about personality wise except she is "a stunning beauty." In the end, this book is about the beauty of life. No matter how scarred a person may be inside or out, they are still beautiful. Life is beautiful. And life is worth living no matter what.
