I don’t know if I was particularly thick while reading it, but the book kept me guessing all the way through till the end! The area containing Coldbath Street, Greenwich, London contains a higher-than-average level of social housing - 69% of household spaces.However, some data such as street names and house pricing is based on current postcodes only and so may be missing or incomplete. Ordinary household tasks can present challenges, and finding reliable tradespeople to carry out repairs and redecorations, or to help in the garden, can be a worry. There are so many little Easter eggs in here, the only downside for me personally was that because I had a familiarity with many of the stories I pretty much guessed what was going on before it did.

You have to see it in person to understand the true nature of it, though I did put up a video over at Instagram. attractions in the vicinity of the Cold Bath and the olderestablished, barbaric sports that flourished in this southern area until the middle of the eighteenth century. I live in the centre of where the book is set and enjoyed listening in my car and passing the streets and places mentioned in the book, I feel this brought the book to life.The postcode is within the Greenwich Park ward/electoral division, which is in the constituency of Greenwich and Woolwich. J. Hartley is an engrossing YA novel which looks into the ghost stories that surround Preston and the truth of them.

But also because planning ahead may be needed to ensure that where you live now is ‘age proofed’, and that if you wish to consider moving, you have good information and advice to help you understand all your options.I really enjoyed how this book panned out, with Preston being a really interesting character to follow and the time setting (not in the present day) made the book feel a lot more personal as Hartley draws on his previous experiences of the city, rather than how it is now. I was intrigued by the world that the protagonist finds himself in and the illustrations through bring the story to life. Since I was an adult when I moved here I wasn’t familiar with the Bannister Doll legend, but that wasn’t a problem, since the story is good enough to hold anyone’s attention.

The area containing Cold Bath Street, Preston consists predominantly of flats, which is common in inner cities, student neighbourhoods and poorer suburban settings. young men, mysteriously well dressed, doing nothing whatever, and in certain doorways honest-faced old men with mufflers round their necks wearing ancient pea-jackets.It’s not necessary for the reader to know the locations or understand all the local references in the book, but there are little gems waiting to be discovered by anyone familiar with Preston and its history.
