Noticing that the H7 Flow didn’t have nearly as much air flowing out the top (from our liquid cooler) as from the back, we decided to retest it without the top filter installed. The perforated front and the likewise perforated cover give you the best possible fresh air supply for your hardware. A smaller rectangular hole further back allows screwdriver access to the drive cage’s release screw. Exhaust fans don’t benefit from dust filters, though users who prefer to instead draw air in through the lid will be glad that the filter is included.

This is complemented well by the perforated front panel which also runs down the entire front of the case.

After tidying the cables, I snapped the front and rear side panels back into place without any issues, so the tool-less side panel installation worked well. According to NZXT, the H7 series cases can fit SSR-CEB/EEB (E-ATX) motherboards, but as usual if you genuinely want E-ATX support without dealing with things like blocked cable routing holes or other serious clearance issues, you should opt for a full-tower case truly designed for big motherboards. A steel side panel sits opposite the H7 Flow’s glass left panel, and its rear is far less ventilated than the front.

Wider cable channels provide more room to easily route cables, while the addition of hooks add stability. The fan support in the front has also been increased from the H710, from two 140 to three 140mm fans (or up to three 120mm). However, after running our thermal tests, I have to credit NZXT for not taking the easy way out by using a fine mesh front panel.
