As much of the 'bad' character that Honey was, she didn't deserve to essentially be led on by Shay when he was seeing Cherry behind her back - even if it was in a platonic way - especially considering the only reason he stayed with her was because it was easy and he didn't want to make things awkward (which is how they ended up anyway). There's something so soothing, light and fluffy about Cathy Cassidy's writing that makes it such a joy to read. I get it that he was trying to give Honey space, but what kind of parent makes his child sleep in the garden. Both the mother and father characters are previously divorced and have decided to try blending their families – and now they are all stepsisters. Honey doesn't want a new family, get dad and mum(Charlotte) got devorsed and she was still upset, so she was very mean to Cherry.

First of all - I am not the target demographic for this book, so my opinions come as someone who is older! Full of wit and charm it's a book that I know would have been one of my absolute favourites had I read it as a teen. But now, they're moving out of their little flat, and moving in with her father's girlfriend, Charlotte (and her big family), in Somerset.

Cherry Costello is a cute, dreamer,and good girl (and wow she is half Scottish half Japanese), and she seems living her simple live with her father quite happily, but the main problem is she keeps lying to make herself looks good in front of others and she knows it. As Cherry was thirteen it was hoped that she could share a room with Honey, but Honey makes it quite clear that she has no intention of doing that – and she doesn’t like that Cherry's is always around, she likes to show him his not welcome. Later on, Shay kept coming to Cherry and she soon found out that Shay had the same feelings for her. When they get there, Cherry meets the four sisters: the younger one, Coco, having a personality identical to boys, cute, redhead who loves animals; the twins, Skye and Summer - Skye loves vintage stuff, especially dresses and Summer loves ballet and wants to be a professional dancer one day; and last, but not least, the older one, Honey, the mean one, the blondie, temperamental that still sufferers for Greg, her real father and thinks that he will come back one day, and has the most cutest boyfriend, Shay Fletcher.
