About this deal

Deleted and Alternate Scenes (SD, 48 minutes) - This may be the holy grail of the extras for 'Blade Runner' devotees. An example of the lack of clarity in the source material happens early on, just before Holden VKs Leon.

Warner certainly rights past wrongs for 'The Final Cut' here, delivering a truly splendid new Dolby TrueHD 5. I can now wholeheartedly say that Blade Runner: The Final Cut is my definitive director's cut of the film.Documentary: "Dangerous Days" (SD, 211 minutes) - This insanely comprehensive making-of by longtime Scott documentarian Charles de Lauzirika runs not only longer than the feature film itself, but at over three hours it hogs the entire second disc. It's been discussed, dissected, and digested leaving little room for me to add anything to the conversation beyond what it has meant for me in developing my appreciation of film. Blade Runner' finally sounds spatially alive and vibrant, with surrounds that now live and breathe -- just as it should be. The entire supplemental section is featured in standard definition, probably due more to the age of the film than anything, but that shouldn't detract from the extreme number of quality features in the set. Most controversial of all was the removal of the "unicorn scene" that suggested that Deckard himself may be a replicant.

In a signature role as 21st-century detective Rick Deckard, Harrison Ford brings his masculine-yetvulnerable presence to this stylish noir thriller. The first thing I did was watch my favourite movies in that format, which at the time were the Star Wars films, all three of them.

You can really appreciate the detail in the Tyrell Corporation building, while the VK test with Rachel takes on a whole new warmth. The Light That Burns: Remembering Jordan Cronenweth (SD, 20 minutes) - A fitting tribute to the real star of 'Blade Runner,' the late director of photography Jordan Cronenweth. Home Entertainment has sent us a brand new trailer for the upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of dierctor Ridley Scott's classic sci-fi thriller Blade Runner, which will be available for purchase on September 5. After the "Final" cut in TrueHD, the remaining versions are presented in standard Dolby Digital with the "Workprint" being in Dolby 2.with a flowchart of the changes, it's almost impossible to tell which cut of 'Blade Runner' you're even watching anymore. Delineation in even the darkest areas of the picture is dead-on, so fine subtleties previously lost in the murk are now readily visible.

This phenomenal Blade Runner set from Warner on Blu-ray sets the new standard for comprehensive special editions. From the first bursts of flames along the skyline to the flying spinners to the booming base tones of Vangelis' iconic score - it's an audio mix that joyfully pins you to the back of your seat.Bdw it includes a really sturdy package whick includes a small book with art and storyboard I think. The film has always been well ahead of its time in sound design, but the Blu-ray production team has really gone above and beyond. For the rest of the bonus features found on Disc 2 and Disc 4, I will refer you back to our coverage of the previous 2007 Blu-ray release. The 4K disc carries no less than three separate audio commentary tracks: one by Ridley Scott, one by crew members Syd Mead, Lawrence G. The five discs full of extras are also extraordinary, and it's hard to imagine any 'Blade Runner' fan wanting more.
