About this deal

The barcode of vertical stripes is also trending on face masks, ties, scarves and even dresses at the conference. They were made using an algorithm created by Ed Hawkins, professor of climate science at the University of Reading. His original design shows temperature increases from 1850 to 2020, with each stripe representing one year. Even Ed Miliband is a fan and was spotted sporting a scarf, designed by London-based Atelier Tammam, bearing the stripes. The 1958 Act of France saw navy seamen in the area given a striped woven top bearing 21 horizontal stripes (one for each of Napoleon’s victories) as a uniform, known as a ‘matelot’ or ‘marinière.” says the author over at The Good Trade. Taking the retro route for SS22, models at Fendi, Brandon Maxwell and Jil Sander sashayed down the runway in bright, showstopping gowns. In 1988, we started selling striped shirts through national newspaper adverts and in selective magazines. We featured in publications as varied as The Times, Private Eye, New Musical Express, Country Life to even Viz – and the stripe is as popular today as it always was. London-based Agr is known to design knitwear in bright colours whilst emitting a nightclub feel. For one of its looks, the brand presented a tie-and-dye rainbow effect sweater paired with shiny tech pants, accessorised by a crossbody bag that featured an AGR logo. Marcelo Burlon showed a long-line tank top and matching wide-leg pants in ’60s-inspired tie-dye, whilst Études Aurélien Arbet, José Lamali and Jérémie Egry used a kaleidoscope of colours for the finale of their S/S ’23 show. Look 34 included a shirt and shorts in a tie-dye pattern in a rainbow of colours. Neon Green

The colour blue is in the limelight for the approaching season with multiple designers embracing the hue within their Spring/Summer 2023 collections. Amongst the gamut, cobalt blue in particular, stands out and makes an impact as the favoured hue for the season. It’s long been understood that summer style is defined by nautical striped clothing, from dresses to sweaters. But the classic pattern is getting a 2022 makeover, thanks to new bold, exaggerated lines and a mixture of unexpected colorways. When once servants and outcasts were to be seen sporting a stripe, they've since had quite the high-fashion update and are synonymous with chic French style. It’s such a mainstay in French fashion that it’s also been adopted by French mime artists. For Spring/Summer 2023 season, inspiration continues to come from both the natural and the virtual worlds, as print and pattern trends continue to expand on the underlying theme of highlighting environmental or social issues – expressing the need of the times. When it comes to stripes this season, more is more. Something so classic like stripes doesn’t necessarily have to be boring or predictable. This season aims for multi-colored and multi-directional takes on the print. The more irregular the better! Don’t be afraid of overdoing it. In 2018 Thom Browne’s lifelong love of sport was demonstrated when he announced his official partnership with Barcelona FC – arguably one of the biggest partnerships to date.

Stripes are basically the neutral of prints so they easily work paired with a contrasting print. Mixing stripes with other patterns will elevate your outfit to uber-cool in no time! We are all for outrageous print medleys and we say the bolder the better in this instance. Try to choose one print to dominate and one as an accent and make sure the prints are of different textures if you can. Make sure you have the right proportions because usually, prints of different scales work best. The most important thing to remember is if the colors look good together, more often than not the prints will too. Quiet fashion might just be the next big thing. Not quiet as in dressed down and switched off, but quiet as in low-key. Perhaps this was coming anyway. Before this show season was overtaken by world events, the buzz was around the imminent return of Phoebe Philo, the British designer beloved during her time at Celine for her clothes, which were quirky enough to be cult and sophisticated enough to be chic. The likelihood of Philo’s own brand resetting the dial toward something cool-toned and subtle was somewhere in the field of vision of designers as they put together these collections over the winter, even if the sober mood of now was unforeseeable. Philo’s heralded return has not materialised, as yet; I suspect it’s on ice until the world is ready to care about such things again. The stripe tee is a must-have staple in everyone’s wardrobe, but you can go beyond those Breton stripes and incorporate the trend into a variety of fashion items. A perennial favourite, stripes continue to be a huge trend this season, but many people worry about how to wear them with style. Here’s our stripe how-to… As the team’s official tailor for off-field uniforms, players wear full Thom Browne tailored suits including wool shirts, button-down cardigans, white oxford shirts and a tie scarf all co-branded with the FC Barcelona crest. The charitable collection donates all proceeds to the FC Barcelona Barca Foundation. #5 Thom Browne’s Tennis Pro Private Club – St TropezAnimal prints have secured a segment of their own and there is no outcasting them in any given season. A classic in its own right, animal-inspired prints keep reinventing to suit the vibe of the times and this season cements the fact further. Embrace the catwalk clashing look by teaming contrasting tops and bottoms, or keep it simple with a striped midi dress and tonal accessories.
