Vogue – Fashion’s night out Sept 6 2012 London

It’s 10 days to go till the now infamous Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. For those of you who haven’t heard of Fashion’s Night Out here is the lowdown… Across London Vogue is teaming up with a whopping 281 designers and retailers to create a dedicated night to celebrate the art form that is shopping. High-st shops, boutiques, department stores and leading designers brands are all joining forces to offer us mere mortals a one-off shopping experience which will include plenty of cocktails, some great discounts and more importantly the chance to meet some of the designers behind the brands we love. Take note, this is not a VIP event, although there will undoubtably be lots of VIP’s! Everyone is welcome to join in the fun!

It would literally be impossible to list what every brand will be doing but here are a few of the retailers I am most looking forward to celebrating with…  This Vogues FNO will be kickoff with a party by  MULBERRY. As part of the celebrations, a host of labels will be unveiling special, one-off products or showcasing their collections early. ORLA KIELY will be launching her second Uniqlo collaboration exclusively at FNO when she will make an appearance at Uniqlo’s 311 Oxford Street store. MATTHEW WILLIAMSON will be partnering with Linda Farrow, to launch their new collection of sunglasses and the store will be turned into a glamourous poolside party. Over at LOUIS VUITTON guests will be invited to a Yayoi Kusama themed event where they will be able to style themselves with props inspired by the artist.

Tila March X David Hicks Pop Up Store

Currently crushing on this amazing collaboration between Tila March and David Hicks. Ashley Hicks, Davids son has loaned his fathers iconic prints to the brand and in turn they have created a beautiful accessories collection. The pop up store features lots of striped back wood, the perfect base for showcasing the quality of the new collection.  The pop upstore will be open until end of summer. A must visit if you are in Paris!

American Apparel in Toyko – Ice cream dream

I was contacted by a lovely VM, Lena, who works for American Apparel in Toyko. She produced this great window scheme which fits in perfectly with the fun and cheeky personality of the brand. I also loved looking at her initial concept generation and sketches! Doesn’t it make you crave a HUGE ice cream though?

I am always excited to hear submissions from people around the world… SO please do send me schemes you have seen or worked on. The only criteria is that they must be AMAZING! You can reach me on victoria.anne.buchanan@gmail.com
