My current obsession is pop up books. In particular I love the Kenzo book which has a giant pop up Eiffel tower in it. The inspiration came from their 09 catwalk show which was design to look like a giant pop up. Unfortunately I can only find one picture of the show from 09 (which proves how much blogging is revelutionising the access we have to shows as I can find gazillions of pictures from sets in the past year) Do you have any favourite pop up books?

The Department Store is a modern take on the traditional department store experience. Based in Auckland, New Zealand It’s the brainchild of Karen Walker, Stephen Marr and Dan Gosling. Their vision is to create a single environment where one can experience the very best from the worlds of design, beauty, fashion, interiors … not to mention the very best French pastries in town.
My favourite feature is the topshop area, which shows the possibilities of how you can stick to your own brand ethos and still showcase the personality of the brands your stock. For more pirctures of the store check out their site here.
