That felt like it made no sense when you realize Brendan has been mourning his dead wife for SEVEN years and all of a sudden jumps into something new with someone who has never been in a serious relationship. this book had my back arching, toes curling, neck cracking, bed sheet gripping, knee trembling, and ass smacking. It's at a later line where she learns her true self, and finds that finding love and having a bond relationship with her sister is much more then having so many followers on social media. It’s not, and it did annoy me that the woman was the one who had to change and give up everything to find happiness with the man.

They have this bond to them, this friendship, and this attraction in which Fox is trying to admit to himself that he does not have but truly does that makes me rip my hairs with wanting their book ASAP! Like, it's definitely predictable and full of cliches, but I'm not a NYT book reviewer, I'm a stay-at-home-mom who wants to get lost in a romance exactly like this one and escape for a little while. It’s books like these that have you setting fictional men as the standard, as the baseline which has you judging real-life men on.

While a lot of romances skirt around the fact that the female lead might be high-maintenance, I love how this book puts it front and center. Plus this is a small-town romance, which means that a lot of care went into developing the setting and the residents of the town/side characters.
