LFW Special: Topshop window by Niki Pilkington

Here are the lovely Topshop windows which have been specially installed for London Fashion Week. They show off the AW.11 collection which was inspired by spotty, dotty dalmation dogs! The beautiful illustrations are by Niki Pilkington who has also illustrated a series of luxury in-store gifts, which will be given away with special purchases over £50.

Vogue FNO: Net a Porter and The Window Shop

Net a Porter, the leading luxury retailer in the online world used Vogues FNO as the perfect excuse to create their first ever pop up shop. Unlike other pop up shops selling merchandise, Net a Porter and The Window Shop came with a digital twist. The store on Mount St, showed off some of the season’s hottest looks and shoppers could win prizes from their mobile phones.

Obviously being ‘the window shopper’ I just had to check this one out

All images taken by the lovely Aimee, who was my window shopper spy for the evening!

New store alert: Mulberry, Spring St, New York

Mulberry and it’s cute little bird props have flown the nest this week and migrated to the heart of stylish Soho in New York to set up shop. What really impresses me is that they have teamed up with a group of artisans to design the new store. I say this because they are not your typical fashion visual merchandisers. For the bespoke book wall they asked engineer, Mike Smith to help them turn their idea into reality with 8,000 books. Here on the Mulberry site you can watch him talk about his experiences of working with Mulberry and see just how he created it. (sorry it wont let me post the video on here but it really is worth a watch) As usual Mulberry have come up top trumps with the new store and I am sure the Americans are going to really thank us for this one!

Moschino window display: Postcards

I love the new display at Moschino from Via Della Spiga in Milan. From the giant over sized bundle of letters to the mannequins which make the postcards seem 3 dimensional! Genius!
