If you can catch the Wraithblades before they get into melee, anti-armour units like Tankbustas and Lascannon Devastators will rip through them. Due to their slow movement speed, they are more vulnerable when they aren’t supported by cover fire. The Aeldari live on the brink of extinction. As such, their Farseers have become adept at reading future events, seeing the many strands of fate ahead of their people and the consequences of following each one. Taken at the right time, a simple action can avoid calamitous outcomes, aiding the Aeldari in their continued struggle for survival.If your Army Faction is AELDARI, at the start of the battle, make a Strands of Fate roll by rolling twelve D6. When the call to war is heard, these beings are awakened by the most gifted Seers. Their Spirit Stones glow hot as the slow-burning anger of the dead flows through their cores. Once kindled, the wrath that animates their wraithbone bodies becomes an unstoppable fury that can only be quenched in the blood of their foe. In my experience Strength from Death is excellent. Eldar have great melee options and fights first and +1 WS is a fantastic buff to them. IMO Ynnari are a definitive counter to Orks and Genestealer Cult on Strength from Death alone. Fights first is a major, major ability and getting that army wide so long as something has died (friend or foe) is excellent.

Although it is not uncommon (though usually reviled) process to return the soul of a dead Eldar from the Infinity Circuit to inhabit a wraithbone body, in some cases it is more risky than others. Not all souls sleep peacefully in the Circuit, especially not those that have witnessed the destruction of their home and their race impotently from the depths of their crystalline limbo. For these souls, being returned to the physical world is a chance to wreak havoc on the enemies of the Craftworlds and vent their boundless rage on the living- Khaine, after all, was a very bloody-handed god indeed. In deadly melee, the Wraithblades take the lives of the foe just as their lives were taken in the ongoing battle against the extinction of the Aeldari species. It is possible now that the terms "Ghost Warrior" or "Spirit Warrior" simply refers to any Eldar robotic combat walker or construct controlled by a spirit drawn from a craftworld's Infinity Circuit. Variants included:But for the Asuryani to reach out into the afterlife in such a way marks the gravity of their situation. Such is the plight of the Craftworld Aeldari -- such is their position as a dying race in the galaxy -- that even the spirits of the dead are needed to fight once again for their people.

But if you play Flayed Skull I think you’ll have a leg up on getting the hang of new Ynnari as the Warriors in Venoms as a fire base and are essentially sprinkling some Wyches and CWE assault units on top of that for a great melee wing. Many of the Asuryani wear highly polished Waystones upon their chests. At the precise moment an Asuryani dies, the wearer's soul becomes captured within this stone -- which is then known as a Spirit Stone. I’m still working on expanding the army. My next goal is to get it to 1,000 points, and I’m almost there. I’d like to push it beyond that, if my friends and I don’t get distracted, which is a distinct possibility – venturing into the Mortal Realms has been mentioned more than once…I love wraiths in the new codex and wanted to run a list around them. The core units I wanted in it were wraithguard/blade units, wraith lords, avatar of khaine and a wraithknight as they are some of my favourite in the new codex.
