If you are looking for a true do-it-all shoe that’s light, flexible, soft, and non-plated, the Rebel v2 is it!

I have run 55km in the New Balance Rebel v3, doing a mix of daily training including a couple of speed sessions and several easy runs. If you require more support underfoot but still want ultimate New Balance comfort, check out the New Balance Fresh Foam More v3 or New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 v11. Since the foam is so soft stability isn't the highest in this shoe, but the transition is done really nicely for those don't have high stability needs in that region. There’s always a high risk when making big changes, but I think they got everything right, which rarely happens in the running shoe world.

I found that the Rebel v3 had quite a tight fit, which was the same for the first two versions of the shoe.The midfoot has a good hold throughout with a little bit of room for swelling accommodation if you are going long miles. The thin mesh upper is almost see-through and lets heat and vapor escape easily all around the foot.It’s a lightweight shoe that provides a bouncy ride while still having a lot of ground feel because the stack isn’t very high.
