Instead of ogling over christmas windows (I don’t want to get carried away too soon or i’ll sicken myself) i’ve been distracted looking at the portfolios of Visual Merchandisers. Tim Walker is one of my favourite fashion photographers so I was excited to stumble across his right hand man’s website, prop designer Andy Hillman.

His career history is an inspiring, who’s who list of high fashion magazines, trendy department stores and kooky publications.

”Born 1976 in Oxford England. Andy graduated from the Arts Institute Bournemouth in 1999 with a first class honours degree in 3 ~Dimensional Design. After working for the prestigious Thomas Heatherwick Studio, Andy went on to assist the Set Designer / Art Director Shona Heath for four years before establishing his own studio in North London in December 2005. He has since produced sets, props, costumes and art directed for various clients. These include publications such as Vogue Italia, American Vogue, British Vogue, Vogue Nippon, Casa Vogue and L’uomo Vogue, American Vanity Fair, Another Magazine, Dazed and Confused, Lula, Citizen K andWonderland. He has also collaborated on projects and sets for clients including Givenchy, Rimmel, Paul Smith, Sony, Kate Spade, We Are Replay, Selfridges and Liberty’s.”

Here I’ll leave you with a little inspiration from his website. Some of his editorial props are just incredible and with a little imagination you can really picture how these would translate into some gorgeous window displays.
